Analisa Leppanen-Guerra is an art historian, writer, and dancer. She holds a Ph.D. in visual studies from the University of California, Irvine. She works on the art and visual culture of the 19th and 20th centuries, with a focus on the historical avant-garde, specifically Dada and Surrealism. Leppanen-Guerra uses an interdisciplinary approach to her scholarship and teaching, exploring the links between art, visual culture, film, literature, dance, and religion. She is also a writer and has completed a literary memoir, a science fiction novel, and a screenplay.
